My job is to make sure your reading list on African fintech is lit 🌍

This is hard for me.

Hey folks,

You’ve probably been wondering what hole I crawled under.

I needed to take time to do alot of thinking. Life is getting busier and busier and has brought me to the point where I have to pick between two of my greatest loves: fintech and spirituality.

I’m making the hard decision to discontinue the ‘Fintech Snacks’ newsletter, so I can pour my energy into my other weekly newsletter (focused on spirituality).

Of course, this is not goodbye to the world of African fintech, that would be an apocalypse. I’d still be covering fintech with Stears (my regular 9-5). I’m going to be aggressively pursuing fintech stories outside of Nigeria so I am crazy excited about that. I’m coming for you Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Cote d’Ivoire!

I’m learning the hard lesson that growing what you love sometimes requires brutal focus, which means stepping away from other passions. It’s tough, I really want to have it ALL. But alas, Life.

Alot of your interests, criticisms and comments have inspired many fintech stories I’ve pursued in the past, so please keep those emails and LinkedIn messages coming. If you bring a story compelling enough, with no strings attached (except the simple pursuit of knowledge), I promise to pursue it.

A big thank you to you all that have made my weekly rants rewarding and somewhat therapeutic. Y’all are real ones.
